Nightclub & Bar Review
With a whole lot of history, a prime position in the middle of the city and a growing reputation as a Sydney clubbing haven thanks to Vamp Music, The Arthouse Hotel is one to put on the list for a Sydney weekender.
Situated in a heritage-listed building housing four bars and a restaurant in the centre of the Sydney CBD. With architecture dating back to 1836 (pretty old for Australia) and a history as a School of Arts, this is a truly beautiful interior and one of Sydney’s best designed club venues. Works of original art hang from the walls and the upstairs bar and restaurant provide a a sophisticated ambiance for intimate cocktails and dinner.
A dress code is enforced at nights although they are not as strict as most venues, especially when the ground-level nightclub plays host to House and Electro DJs, with musical talent drawn both locally and overseas.
Arthouse consists of spaces The Verge, Gallery Bar, Attic and Dome Lounge and ensures that no matter what scene you’re into you’ll find something to enjoy here. Easily accessible with a friendly vibe, Arthouse’s crowd is easygoing and mixed. It’s a great stop on a big night out, a standout in the Sydney nightclub scene when hosting DJ’s and definitely one to keep in mind if you’ve got a date lined up.
