Le Baron is one of the nightclub gems of Paris - exclusive and intimate, sexy and cool [Read the Nightclub & Bar Review]
Nightclub & Bar Review
One of the most revered and storied nightclubs in Paris, Le Baron first opened in 2004 to the constant flashing of paparazzi cameras, and has become a must-do haven for fashionistas, artists, visiting celebs and those that long to be part of the in-crowd.
Created by André Saraiva (who’s own story is interesting enough as it is - a celebrated graffiti artist and creator of the infamous Mr. A, Saraiva has gone from an outsider on the streets of Paris to one of the city’s preeminent nightclub entrepreneurs) Le Baron is housed in a former brothel and the sensual, dimly lit interior still harks back to its origins.
Soft red velvet and a warm glow hum beneath black ceilings and mirror balls, alongside deep, comfortable booths that make this club super-intimate - both in size and vibe. The walls at Le Baron are lined with some of the original artworks as well as newer photographs - moody nudes that could swap places with most of the starlets on the dancefloor and not miss a beat.
The beats themselves swing between live musicians on some nights and guest DJs that pump everything from Electro and House through to uber-danceable classics from the 70’s and 80’s. So, now you know the score - Le Baron is much like its famous guests - sexy, desirable and world-renowned for being super-exclusive. It’s pretty much guestlist only - so it pays to swim in the right circles. But that’s half the fun - isn’t it?
