Nightclub & Bar Review
What makes Nikki Beach one of the best clubs in Miami? Well, first of all - they’re not just one of the best in Miami. Try locations in (...deep breath...): St. Tropez, Cannes, St. Barth, Marbella, Cabo San Lucas, Marrakech, Koh Samui, Caberete plus a brand new club in Las Vegas. Nikki Beach has achieved something exceedingly rare in the club world - reached global icon status (think Pacha, Ministry of Sound). For that reason you can be sure to find a large, mixed crowd dominated by out-of-towners alongside some fashionable locals every day (and night) of the week.
Sitting right by the ocean down on South Beach the entire complex is packed out with a pretty good restaurant, outdoor beach club, private cabanas and full VIP services, although if you’re just down for the clubbing understand that unless it’s a special event the place only opens onto the beach club on Sundays. For that reason and more Sunday brunch is a huge highlight that starts the party early and is definitely a great way to recover from the night before in style. They play a mix of Commercial House and Trance, and for the most part the music isn’t too challenging but definitely keeps the vibe upbeat. They’re open every night of the week although the restaurant closes earlier during the weeknights, Club 01 does the weekends till late (5am) and Nikki Beach Night Club goes hard on Sundays till just before.
The interior of the club is nice, with a bleached-out, minimal design that highlights the tanned skin and tropical colours of the locals, and the place is actually pretty reminiscent of Pure in Las Vegas. Having said that, outdoors is where you wanna be if you can and it’s a great place to lay back on the white linen daybeds and just chill in the sun. Nickki Beach is a little pricey, but the drinks are pretty good (you gotta try a Mojito here) and you can do bottle service if you wanna go all out. There’s a cover to get in to the club (at 20 bucks it’s no more than anywhere else in South Beach and kind of expected), although girls get it a little easier and depending on the night they can score free drinks so hooray for boobs.
Overall Nikki Beach lends itself to being a tourist hot-spot so you’ll find the crowd is a mix between high-flying visitors, tanned and glam locals and VIP members who just dig the Miami vibe (and who can blame them?).
