Nightclub & Bar Review
Renowned for an ultra-exclusive vibe, a super-tight door and a whole bunch of celebrity regulars, Miami’s Mynt Lounge pretty much owns this block of Miami Beach. First things first - if drama at the door and a designer vibe aren’t your thing, you’re not gonna dig it here. Half of the whole scene is making it hard to get in to and only letting in the genetically blessed and well-connected. If you just wanna have a few drinks and a dance, and can’t be bothered with theatrics, you’re better off someplace else. If however, you like a see-and-be-seen crowd, like to dress up for a night out and don’t mind spending some money, this place is gonna do it for you.
The interior at Mynt Lounge is indescribable. No - really - this place is one-of-a-kind because they literally refit the interior every year. That’s totally unheard of, and it makes sure that from one summer to the next visiting Mynt Lounge is a unique experience. At around $1,000,000 per renovation you can tell that these guys aren’t playing around. The consistent themes are the white modular lounges and the spacious main room with a long bar on one side and a raised DJ platform. There’s not really a dedicated dancefloor either but once the DJs start you basically dance wherever you can.
The crowd is upmarket and flashy, with a whole lot of flesh on display alongside plenty of testosterone-fueled credit card flashing, It gets super-packed out later on in the night, and that’s when it’s hardest to get in, so to give yourself the best chance try to turn up at around 11-11:30pm, otherwise you’re rolling the dice here, for real. It is what it is, so as long as you know what kind of look they expect, and dig this kind of vibe, it’s all good.
The music is good quality House and Mynt Lounge bring in some world-class DJs including names like Pete Tong, Robbie Rivera, Felix Da Housecat, Cedric Gervais and Avicii on a regular basis. Overall it’s definitely one of the best clubs in Miami - it all depends on whether the exclusive vibe is your thing.
