Nightclub & Bar Review

In the space where LAX used to sit Las Palmas in Los Angeles is a beautiful venue with a classic Amexican design and an A-list crowd. The interior is rustic and warm, with lots of dark wood, comfortable seating in little curved booths and rough exposed-brick textures on the walls. The design team here have managed to meld up-market with casually cool really well, and chandeliers that burst from the ceiling like exploding bulbs of honey sit comfortably above a low-key lacquered concrete floor, while classic artworks are dotted about the interior. The vibe at Las Palmas is trendy, fashionable and cool without being too showy, and the fact that the venue has, in one form or another, been a hotspot for over a decade shows that there is just something about the location that spices up a night (although that could be the taco stand outside, an extension of the restaurant that stays open until 3am - perfect for late-night snacks...). The music at Las Palmas is always and upbeat and rocks a crowd, and the venue brings in international and local guests all the time so it’s worth checking out if any of your favourites are playing. Most nights you’ll hear a mix of Mash-ups, R’n’B and dancefloor Hip-Hop alongside some Electro and House. All in all Las Palmas still has its groove, and whatever the name this place is definitely one of the best clubs in Los Angeles.
