Nightclub & Bar Review
Bigfoot Lodge is so kitsch it hurts, in a good way. Think 1950’s television, Hollywood sit-com folklore and a whole lot of wood and you’re halfway there. This place feels like you’ve stepped into an episode of Bonanza after taking a tab of acid, with animatronic animals (say hello to Smokey the Bear...) and retro posters adding to the trip. It’s fun as hell and great to chill out in a place that doesn’t take itself too seriously - hard to find in Los Angeles sometimes.
That’s probably what brings the crowds in - it’s for the cool kids that don’t need to shout it from the rooftops, and just like to hang out with like-minded people in a fun joint with good music and solid drinks. The crowd is mainly Alternatypes, Rockabilly and in-between, and the lack of attitude is really refreshing. Speaking of refreshment, Bigfoot Lodge serves some very original signature cocktails, with new classics like the Sasquatch and Smokey’s Moonshine hitting the spot with a cheeky smile.
Bigfoot Lodge is open till just after 1am every night, and has theme nights, awesome Monday night karaoke, bingo and DJ’s on pretty much all the time - it’s just a big, silly, super-awesome load of fun and is the most ironically cool club in Los Angeles. Leave the Armani at home - grab your hunting boots, make sure you bring some ID and get a little loose at the Lodge...
