Tao Beach is the dayclub sister to the almighty Tao, and has been rocking it the past 4 summers for celebs and clubbers alike [Read the Nightclub & Bar Review]
Nightclub & Bar Review
With an exotic Balinese-inspired design, and the luxury of being able to call Tao at The Venetian its home, Tao Beach is stronger than ever after experiencing a few upgrades and revamping its music policy. With an assortment of kitted-out cabanas, laid-back day beds and lounges, this is literally an oasis in the desert - and its no surprise that in the middle of the scorching Nevada summers it is a very cool place to be on the Strip.
Situated on the rooftop deck of Tao, the design at Tao Beach is a nice fusion of Asian elegance and modern comforts, and although the pool isn't the biggest in the world the vibe here makes up for it. Overall the layout is a little cramped, but then again with some of the people you see walking around here close proximity is not that much of a problem. When it gets busy it's pretty much standing room only, so if there's a bunch of you in Vegas it can be worthwhile chipping in for a cabana - there's not much chance of getting a space next to the pool.
Although its an extension of Tao itself, Tao Beach has become a destination all of its own, especially now that they bring in some world-class DJs, and while its open 7 days a week during summer the weekends from Skam Fridays through to Pool Sundays smash it with names such as ATB, Dadalife, Laidback Luke, Dirty South, Markus Schulz, BT and Robboe Rivera hitting the decks - this is serious stuff now. Tao Beach further cements Las Vegas as the centre of clubbing entertainment - with so much happening its like Disneyland for grownups.
The service at Tao Beach takes things up another notch as well - and if you've got the cash then you can have it your way. Personal staff are on hand to take care of you while you chill out in your ridiculously lavish cabana, and they even goes as far as having an array of 'body misters' that make sure sir doesn't get too hot while partying hard. This is the life, isn't it?
Bottom line - great for a day of chilling and drinking after a heavy night. The drinks are top-notch (awesome margaritas), and the prices are doable. Free entry for the ladies, for guys the cover is about $20. The music varies during the week, and the weekends are when it really takes off. It's worthwhile doing the Tao double - Tao Beach in the day and Tao at night. Just remember that this place is not huge and can get super packed.
